I keep my camera in the end table in our living room. Nicholas often gets it out and takes random pictures.

He's a big kid!
It's official!
We no longer have a little boy at our house. Overnight, our little boy grew into a big kid!
Two days ago, we said goodbye to diapers!! Can you believe it?
Nicholas says, "Mommy, are you so exciting?" (That's not a typo - He says 'exciting' instead of 'excited' - how cute!)

Easter Weekend
We had lots of fun Easter weekend with friends and family. Unfortunately, I didn't take pictures at all the events (I'm such a bad mother!)

Saturday morning, we went to a puppet show and egg hunt at our friends' church. Nicholas gets so excited when we meet up with Christian and McKenna. He loved the puppet show... he still talks about the puppets with the 'crazy hair'!
On Saturday evening, we hosted my extended family for Easter dinner. Don't worry... I didn't have to cook anything (everyone brought something). I was just in charge of buying cole slaw! I did catch a couple of pictures of the egg hunt (#3 for Nicholas)

After church on Sunday, we went to Mike's parents' house for dinner. I did have to cook for this get-together... but only macaroni and cheese - I can handle that!
Of course there was another egg hunt (#4 for Nicholas)!

I really tried to teach Nicholas about Easter this year. He knows that it is a special day and that Jesus died on the cross. I'm not sure if he actually understands what that means. In fact, I'm nearly certain that he doesn't understand. It's so easy (and fun) for us to focus on Easter bunnies and egg hunts. Trying to find that balance...
