... or maybe she did a face plant into a toy truck. Either way, she is definitely an 'active' little girl. That's a nice way to say that she's a little wild :)

She loves to stand up on this little chair and play with things on the coffee table. Somehow I have a feeling that this isn't going to be her only black eye!

I have an awesome niece. In fact, she is Nicholas and Reagan's favorite person. Whenever she is around, they forget that I'm there! Lauren is so sweet that she enjoys playing with Nicholas and Reagan even when her friends are around. (I don't now too many pre-teens that would hang out with their little cousins when there are 'cooler' things to do.)



Yesterday, Lauren's life changed forever. She was rushed to the emergency room with a blood glucose level of almost 700 (no - that's not a typo!) She had been showing the symptoms for a few weeks (constant thirst and fatigue). Sure enough, Lauren was diagnosed with Type I Diabetes. She is still in the hospital while the doctors are getting her glucose levels under control.
Now, instead of spending her Friday night hanging out with her friends or updating her facebook status, Lauren is learning how to give herself insulin injections.... for the rest of her life.

Please pray for her and her family.

Aaahhh... Wednesdays

I've begun to l.o.v.e. Wednesdays!

After work, we rush around to get dinner before Grammy comes at 6:15 to pick Nicholas up for Awana at our church. Then, I get about an hour of one-on-one time with Reagan before she goes to bed. Then.... aahhh RELAXATION! Can you believe it?!? How exciting!

I have toys all over my family room floor.
I have clean (wrinkled) clothes sitting in the dryer.
I have crumbs on the kitchen table.
I have dirty dishes in the kitchen sink.

But, I don't care.. It's Wednesday!!
